Monsoon isn’t over yet and here are the things you might need to know about monsoon and the destruction made by the monsoon in a particularly short time. Not only Pakistan but also major cities of the world was affected by this unpredicted rain causing urban flooding.
Type of Rainfall:
Well before
we jump into how much destruction is made in Pakistan due to heavy rainfall let’s
see how many types of rainfall are there. So, below mentioned are the cause
that these three different types of rainfall occur:
1. Relief Rainfall
The rainfall occurs after the air is blown over the sea and is moved towards the highland.
Moreover, as the air is now cooled so the moisture starts turning into a condensed
droplet that causes it to rain falls. This type of rainfall is commonly known
as Relief Rainfall.
2. Frontal Rainfall
The next
type of rainfall is frontal rainfall when the battle between warm and cold air
starts. Here the warm air moves over the cold air and the moisture which is in
the warm air condenses causing it to cool down. This process leads to the formation
of clouds which afterward turns into rain.
3. Convectional Rainfall
The areas
of the earth where extreme weather is observed like the tropics, in these areas
convectional rainfall occurs. In this type of rainfall, the hot air moves up
and cools down causing condensed rain. If the weather condition is extremely
hot so this air rises fast and can also cause thunderstorms.
Heavy RainFall and
Pakistan:
As all of
us know that monsoon is not pleasant weather when you are living in Pakistan.
You can only enjoy it when it is raining and after that, there comes stagnant
water here and there.
In the last
few days, Pakistan witnessed some of the massive rainfalls in decades and this
caused flooding in Sindh and Baluchistan causing some major damage.
Recently, it
is seen that this flooding caused around 500 deaths in Baluchistan. In this
article, we will be telling you how heavy rainfall in Pakistan caused destruction
in different provinces and cities of Pakistan.
Loss in
Baluchistan:
According to
a report, around 300 people or more including women and children were affected
in Lasbella, Baluchistan. Due to this heavy rainfall people lost not only their
homes but also their loved ones.
People are
waiting for rescue in this area, but most people are not aware of these areas
of Baluchistan no proper rescue is provided here. Furthermore, no authority can
reach these areas and people are running out of fresh food and water.
Abdul Quddus
Bizenjo who is also the chief minister of Baluchistan passed orders to rescue
the families as soon as possible. Also, he advised providing people with proper
food and shelter.
According
to the National Disaster Management Authorities, two helicopters are sent to rescue
people in Lasbella. The security Forces saved at least 100 people in the previous
rescue operations and are in the process of saving more in the areas of Danda and
Soukhan.
According
to the officials, the people are shifted to secure places like the government building
all the necessary items are provided to them.
Traffic Stopped Between
Quetta and Karachi Highway:
This heavy
rainfall caused a lot of trouble for many people and so was the highway affected
between Quetta and Karachi.
The
rainfall caused damage to many parts of the highway. Not only these three
bridges are also damaged and weren’t even restored after 48 hours.
Things didn’t
end here more of the destruction was seen on the Hub River where the bridge collapsed
due to a heavy flood.
Officials say
that at least 5 places were notified destroyed on the Quetta – Karachi Highway.
If we talk of Lasbela and Gawadar so the traffic was also suspended as the flood
was passing through the coastal highway.
A report
says that 5km of the coastal area was mixed with the Hingol area. The list isn’t
ending here there are many more places that were affected and the restoring
process for these areas is quite difficult. Authorities are trying to restore
the place and rescue as many people as possible, but the task seems difficult
due to a lack of resources and other things needed.
The met
department of Pakistan also predicted more rainfall in the first two weeks of
August in Sindh and Baluchistan which may cause urban flooding in most of the
cities.
Future Prediction of Heavy
Rainfall:

to the recent Met press release the monsoon weather is not coming to an end. More
rain is expected between the 10th to 13th of August, 2022.
This weather system will influence:
